Before departure
The route is planned around the weather window, not the calendar. We check the technical state of the yacht, the fuel range against the legs, the paperwork and the clearances for every country on the way.
Most delivery problems are decided here, before anyone casts off.
On passage
An experienced skipper runs the yacht, with the crew the passage requires. Longer legs are broken into stages with harbours that can be reached if the forecast turns.
The owner is kept informed - where she is, what the conditions are, and whether the plan has changed.
On arrival
The yacht is handed over in the state she should be in - cleaned, checked, with anything noticed on the way written down rather than left for the owner to find.
If she is going into charter or under management with us, that work continues from there without a second handover.
